Monica
settled in Pembrokeshire (Wales) with her husband and family in 1975. She has
a strong affinity with the Celtic culture and an enduring love of the
landscape led her to take up painting. Her work concentrates on the essence of
location rather than the actual scene. She paints intuitively, focussing on
the interaction of colour, while trying to define the spirit of place amongst
the stones, springs, mountains, islands and trees within a Celtic landscape.
