Lucinda Bartley Lund attended art school in London, then completed a degree in ceramics in NCAD Dublin. She worked as a decorative artist for many years during which time she learnt many of the techniques she now uses in her distinctive paintings.

Her paintings are primarily about the creative process and self-exploration. Each piece represents a journey in which she engages in an open and curious way with various media, using layers to create rich textures and colours. Her work is inspired by the landscape, by the marks and textures created by time and by the language of symbolism. The paintings ultimately describe the inner landscapes of the unconscious.
