Saffron graduated from the Dun Laoire College of Art and Design in 1997. She is a fourth generation, fine artist based in the heritage town of Kenmare. She comes from a line of illustrators, painters, authors and ceramicists and grew up in a household that highly valued the arts. Saffron’s naive art is her current focus and is often inspired by her experience of everyday Irish life. At other times her source of inspiration is pure imagination and wish fulfilment. Her work offers an escape into a childlike world of simplicity and slow living which she hopes the viewer can share in. Whichever is the case her work is always flavoured by her love and curiosity of the everyday, nature and people. Saffron has participated in group and solo exhibitions and has numerous works of art in private collections all over the world.
