Brigit started working in clay in 1989. She is completely self taught.
Over the years she has exhibited in many galleries and has done many private and some public commissions. She retired in 2011 due to clay fatigue and the economic crisis.
Since 2016 she has made some work again. The work is about trying to make people laugh and questioning the world we live in.

Before 2011 the pieces were fired to 1200 C and then painted in oils. Since 2016 they are fired to 950 C, covered in 2 layers of gesso and then painted in oils, so they are like a 3-dimensional painting. Sometimes they also have a painting on them.

Brigit’s biggest wish is to be able to work in space, where there is no gravity to pull the clay down.
