Jane Campbell is an Irish ceramic artist based in Co. Louth. Born in Drogheda, she studied Fine Art Sculpture at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin, later completing an MA in the History of Art and Design.
Before establishing her ceramics practice, she worked extensively in art education, teaching at St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Navan and contributing to national curriculum development through the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment and the Professional Development Service for Teachers.
In 2018, she founded her studio dedicated to sculptural ceramics. She is a member of Ceramics Ireland and Visual Artists Ireland, and has been registered with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. Her professional development includes specialised training in glazing, slab-building, and surface techniques with leading ceramicists such as Gus Mabelson, Rebecca Appleby, and James Oughtibridge.
Campbell has exhibited widely across Ireland and the UK, with work shown at venues including Dublin Castle, Rathfarnham Castle, the National Botanic Gardens, An Táin Arts Centre, and galleries in Wexford, Clare, Louth, and Yorkshire. Her practice has been recognised with the Peter Brennan Pioneering Potter Award (2020) and CreateLouth funding for the Echoes project.
In 2022, she was selected for Argillà Italia, an international ceramics festival, marking a further milestone in her growing international profile.
