Mill Cove Gallery is proud to present The Sea, The Sea, a new exhibition by painter Ian Humphreys for the 2026 Kenmare Arts Festival. Known for his atmospheric and intuitive approach to landscape, Humphreys turns his attention to the Atlantic coastline, creating works that reflect its changing light, weather, and emotional resonance. These paintings sit between abstraction and observation, inviting viewers into a space of movement, memory, and stillness.

The exhibition runs from 2 to 16 August, with an opening reception on 2 August at 3pm. All works are available for purchase.

Ian lives and paints in Schull, West Cork, Ireland. He was born in Hertfordshire in 1956. He studied at Exeter College of Art, gaining a BA (Hons) Fine Art Painting in 1979. Since 1979, Ian has exhibited widely both nationally & internationally, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition & the Hunting Prize, winning 2nd prize in 1998.
